Outback is designed to automatically catch and stack a wide variety of textile products, including shirts and cut-piece goods, as they come off the dryer belt. Since Outback does not need to be connected to the dryer or any other equipment, it’s simple to set up, easy to move, and can be integrated with most textile dryers.
Outback works by catching each textile substrate as it comes off the dryer belt and transporting it toward Outback’s shuttling catch table. Outback’s optic sensor detects the position of the substrate and times the table to move underneath the drop point and catch the leading edge of the substrate. The catch table continues to move away from the conveyor belt until the transfer is complete. Then the catch table shuttles back under Outback’s conveyor to wait for the next cycle. Outback’s adjustable counter allows operators to set stack counts, and audio and visual alarm systems alert the operator when it’s time to unload the stack.
Unlike traditional methods of clearing substrates from dryers, Outback provides consistent, non-stop stacking. It doesn’t take breaks—and it doesn’t lose concentration. Since its programmable counter isn’t susceptible to the inattention common with the boring, repetitive task of substrate stacking, the chance of having stacks over or under the desired count is minimized.
