M&R’s PrinTagger prints and attaches hang tags in an integrated two-step process. In addition to eliminating the cumbersome and inefficient process of using one machine to print tags and another to attach them, PrinTagger reduces waste by allowing the operator to select tag quantities at the point of attachment. There’s no need for cautious operators to print extra tags—and there are no tags left over. The operator enters the information that will appear on the tag (price, description, barcode) and keys in the number of garments to be tagged. Then it’s simply a matter of placing the garments on the mandrel and attaching the tags with the ergonomic finger-controlled lever. The PrinTagger continues to operate until the operator-set count has been reached, preventing overruns and under-runs, and freeing operators from counting and stacking garments before tagging them. The PrinTagger is ideal for situations where the same product is sold to different customers—and must be tagged accordingly.
PrinTagger enables operators to print and attach tags approximately every three seconds (up to 1200 per hour), increasing productivity up to 100% over conventional printing and tagging methods. Tags are printed using a high-quality thermal-transfer printing process, and are attached with pliable nylon fasteners to produce attractively-tagged garments. Tag designs can be downloaded directly from a computer, or can be entered on the built-in keypad. Designs can also be stored on a Compact Flash memory card, and then read directly from the card via the CF card slot on the back of the PrinTagger.
