Glen Ellyn, IL, USA—M&R is pleased to support the Goodwood Roller Marathon and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Mick Minster, M&R Service Engineer, and his partner, Jane Edwards, have been involved in the marathon since 2003. With the assistance of Cskate, they have managed the annual event since 2006. In their first year, the number of participants stood at 128. That number has continued to rise, and in 2011, pre-race registration stood at 1,234, making it the largest roller race in the United Kingdom.
In past years, M&R have sponsored contributions to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. This year, M&R provided funds to purchase a marquee for registration.
By all accounts, this year's event at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit was a great success, and plans are underway for the 2012 event.
