Challenger Z
Challenger Z represents a milestone in user-friendly operation. Its new touch-screen monitor uses Direct Digital Control to operate off-contact, stroke length, flood & squeegee speed, and flash curing. Designed for quick setups and high-speed production, it’s loaded with timesaving, output-enhancing features, making it a star producer in any print shop. Challenger Z is available in 12, 14, 16, and 18-color models with a 50 x 70 cm (20” x 28”) maximum image area.
Z-Series presses have virtually every feature a printer could want, features like a super-fast, ultra-quiet servo-driven indexer, electric printheads, and Job Recall™, which allows storage and recall of numerous standard and optional functions and settings, including print & flood speeds and front and rear carriage-stop positions. Direct Digital Control allows print parameters to be used as an overall default or to be shared with other printheads at the touch of a button. The huge standard feature set includes digitally-controlled stroke length, pneumatic & mechanical squeegee pressure control, tool-free calibrated angle adjustments, and compatibility with pre-press registration systems like M&R’s Tri-Loc and Double Tri-Loc. Z-Series presses feature touch-screen controlled servo-driven central off-contact and independent mechanical head off-contact, which increases individual head off-contact adjustment by a total of .79 cm (5/16”) in .04 cm (1/64”) increments. Individual head off-contact is invaluable when printing thick inks or specialty inks like gels and high-density.
M&R’s automatic pallet pre-heat mode with built-in pallet temperature sensor allows operators to pre-heat pallets to the desired temperature and track those temperatures throughout the production run. And M&R’s new Z-Series Flash Cure Units allow operators to make flash cure adjustments on-the-fly from the main control panel. Other tried-and-true features include front and rear micro-registration; tool-free adjustable rear screen holders; print-start/print-finish mode; M&R’s patented Optical No-Shirt Detector™; and the exclusive patented Revolver Print Program™, which automatically operates individual printheads in programmed sequence and allows multiple flashing without losing a printing position. |
