Asked for his reaction, M&R President & CEO Rich Hoffman said, “Customer service, innovative design, and quality products form the foundation M&R was built on, and it’s extremely gratifying to have three of our products recognized for their innovation and quality. Our factory technicians are obsessed with manufacturing the highest quality presses in the industry, and our engineers and the other members of our research and development department are engaged in an ongoing effort to find ways to help garment decorators work more quickly, more productively, and more profitably. And we’ll continue those efforts in the years ahead.”
M&R products receiving the award (and their respective categories) are:
Abacus II (Manual Garment Press)
Gauntlet III (Automatic Garment Press)
Insignia (Automatic Graphic Press)
Abacus II combines M&R’s versatile numbering system with the Chameleon’s 20-printhead Duo-Deck configuration, making it easy to print two-color numbers. The servo index system allows perfect positioning of virtually any digit size or type. There’s no question about which screen goes where in a master screen chase, nor about how to position an oversize screen containing multiple digits. Instead, users simply enter the dimensions of the digits to be printed and the desired gap between the digits.
Gauntlet III is a versatile, high-production mid-size automatic press. It’s loaded with innovative standard features & options, including a squeegee/floodbar park feature; a laser locator system; the Revolver Print Program; the Ink Dip System; Automatic Pallet Pre-Heat Mode, icon-based touchscreen labeling; Maintenance Minder; an integrated stopwatch; and many more. Available in 10-16 colors with a maximum standard image area of 19” x 22”, it’s an exceptional automatic screen printing press.
Insignia prints and cures up to six colors simultaneously, delivering finished prints in one revolution and making it possible to do color and registration adjustments prior to the production run. Cure stations are positioned between printheads and feature single-point focus adjustment so lamps (Iron Oxide, Gallium or Mercury Vapor) can be optimized for materials of different types and thickness. Each fully independent lamp has independent wattage settings managed from the main control panel.
