Detailed Equipment Information
M&R’s Eco-Tex™ Modular automates and simplifies the entire screen-cleaning process on screen frames up to 132 x 97 cm (56” x 38”). In the process, it reduces environmental impact and lowers operating costs by recirculating screen-cleaning chemicals. Although Eco-Tex Modular is available as a two-module system that can be expanded in the field to three modules, the most popular model is the three-module system. Typically, the first module is used to remove screen printing ink and apply a degreaser while leaving the screen emulsion intact. The second module is used to remove screen emulsion. The third module is used to power wash the emulsion but leave the screen degreaser from the first module in place. A lighted inspection washout panel is provided at the outfeed.
The entire procedure is kept within the automated modules to provide the lowest chemical cost per chamber, and each chamber recirculates the solution to reduce water consumption. An electric conveyor with stainless-steel rollers moves dirty screens into the chamber and clean screens out. Cleaning solvents drain back into the holding tanks of the modules after each cleaning cycle, reducing chemical use and lowering the cost of operation. A programmable dosing pump automates the addition of fresh chemical/emulsion remover for optimal screen cleaning performance.
The Eco-Tex Modular can typically clean up to 450 screens per shift (based on two screens per cycle). The easy-to-clean filtration systems help prevent foreign matter from contaminating cleaning chemicals and jet nozzles. Eco-Tex has no external moving parts, and it eliminates direct employee exposure to the cleaning process. The emulsion-removal pump is managed through the Eco-Tex touchscreen controller. Since it only requires a single operator, Eco-Tex reduces per-screen labor costs. In addition, the operator is free to perform other tasks while the screens are being cleaned, increasing productivity. All Eco-Tex Modular units are supplied with one screen holder per module. Screen holders (chases) are available in numerous sizes, and additional holders can be purchased for added convenience and faster turnaround. Eco-Tex is economical to operate, and it helps shops keep screen-cleaning/reclaiming areas clean.
Eco-Tex offers user-friendly touchscreen control over all operations, and it includes complete self-diagnostic functionality. M&R's Job Recall™ allows operators to name, store, and retrieve up to ten recipes for future and similar jobs. Recipes can be changed on the fly, and a different recipe can be invoked as soon as the chase on the current job enters the second chamber. There is no need to wait until the current recipe has completed its cycle before starting the next job. The machine’s compact footprint makes it easy to place in most shops. A third module can be field-added to the two-module unit to increase versatility and reduce cost by isolating recirculating chemicals in separate chambers. Stainless-steel construction minimizes maintenance and ensures a long, productive life. Low operating costs, versatile design features, and competitive pricing make Eco-Tex the ideal addition to any screen printing operation.
